A UNIQUE DISCOVERY

Cask Number #3 Rotation Number M0092, embodies Cihuatán Distillery's craftsmanship from El Salvador’s fertile Cihuatán Valley. This 2010 vintage rum, made from local molasses, undergoes over a decade of maturation, combining tropical and continental aging.

After six years in American oak casks in El Salvador, it spent seven more years maturing in ex-Scotch whisky casks in the UK. Bottled in 2023, this single cask release offers just 229 bottles, each at 61.7% ABV, with no added flavors or sugar.

The nose reveals mocha coffee, coconut, and cocoa, while the palate bursts with butterscotch, toasted nuts, and refreshing notes of green apple. Guided by master blender Gabriela Ayala, this rum reflects Cihuatán’s rich Mayan heritage.

Established in the year 2004, Cihuatán stands as El Salvador's sole distillery, nestled in the luscious Cihuatán Valley. This boutique, craft distillery takes pride in its hands-on approach, actively participating in every facet of the rum's creation, from handpicking and cultivating the finest sugarcane to the meticulous bottling process. Under the expert guidance of master blender Gabriela Ayala, the barrels are attentively monitored, and her deep connection to the country's Mayan heritage serves as an endless well of inspiration, leading her to craft captivating one-of-a-kind spirits.
